"I Am Not A Cat!" CLE

  • Rhode Island Women's Bar Association United States (map)

Litigation has undergone tremendous changes over the last three years with the integration of remote technologies. The same technologies that have improved scheduling, increased efficiency, lowered costs, and expanded public access have also presented the legal community with new challenges. How are documents presented to refresh memory? How do we approach the bench? What do we do when we can't turn the cat filter off? Based on perspectives from the bench, criminal defense, family practice, and alternative dispute resolution, this panel discussion will review observations and best practices for litigation in remote settings, and will address questions for practitioners.

Panelists:

Judge McConnell - Chief United States District Judge of the United States District Court

for the District of Rhode Island.

Caroline Murphy - Litigation Attorney (DeSisto Law)

Melody Alger - Managing Attorney (Alger Law)

Jennifer Hoopis D'Ambra - Partner (Hoopis & Hoopis)
