2023 is a unique time for women lawyers to reevaluate their approach to managing their time and priorities so that they can kick a sustainable dent in burnout and create more space for what matters most to them. Join past RIWBA president Kate Ahern to talk through a roadmap for turning the past three years into a superpower for getting what you want out of your life and legal practice in 2023 and beyond. You'll learn why this moment in time is different, how to use that to your advantage, how to approach making changes going forward, and how to keep those changes going.

Speaker: Kate Ahern‎

Kate Ahern, J.D., LL.M. (aka Kate Unfrazzled): Kate is on a mission to change the burnout-inducing culture of the legal industry. She guides lawyers on time management, priorities management, burnout, and the related impact of gender bias and other external pressures. She also helps law firms support associate development in time management, feedback management, and practical skills to attract and retain engaged, committed, practice-ready lawyers. Kate is a RIWBA past President, RIWBA Ada Sawyer Award recipient, past board member of the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations, founder of the former Women Lawyers News online publication and community, and author of many articles, resources, and toolkits to support and advance women lawyers. She’s also a law professor, transactional lawyer, former AmLaw 200 attorney, and generally more fun than her LL.M. in tax might otherwise suggest.
