The Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association and the Rhode Island Black Women Lawyers Association, in partnership with the Roger Williams School of Law invite you to join an important conversation on the range of issues facing women right now. Moderated by RWU’s Assistant Dean for Curriculum Innovation, Nicole Dyszlewski, our panel of speakers will discuss current issues related to women and the law under the current administration and in the Rhode Island General Assembly

This panel will be moderated by RWU’s Assistant Dean for Curriculum Innovation Nicole Dyszlewski, and our speakers include:

 Professor Jamie Abrams is a law professor from the Washington College of Law at American University. She is the series editor of Gender & the Law (Thomson Reuters 2022-present), a weekly contributor to the Gender and the Law Blog, and the author of numerous book chapters and law review articles about birthing decision-making, abortion access, gendered violence, and legal education pedagogy.  

Quatia Osorio, BSBA, BS-HSM, SPM, CCHW, CLC, MCHS, CPE MCHW, CHC, is a Rhode Island native state born and raised. She is the Founder of  Our Journ3i, LLC, RI Perinatal Doula Agency, Co-Founder and Former Director RI Birth Workers Cooperative, and Founding Executive Director of the Urban Perinatal Education Center. She is Mother of 5. Wife of 1. Urban Farmer and Hobby Herbalist. Intentional Napper.

 Jocelyn Foye is a community leader, activist and advocate for reproductive rights and social justice. She is executive director and co-founder of The Womxn Project, a grassroots organization dedicated to advancing equity, bodily autonomy and civic engagement through public education, advocacy and community organizing using the unique tool of artivism.
