This program explores how attorneys can effectively and ethically represent clients who have experienced domestic violence by using a trauma-informed approach to legal services. The session will provide an overview of the dynamics of domestic violence and how trauma can influence a client’s engagement in the legal process.
Participants will learn practical strategies for building trust, conducting trauma-sensitive client interviews, managing expectations, and avoiding re-traumatization during the legal process. The program will also address ethical considerations, boundaries, and collaboration with support professionals to better serve survivors while maintaining effective legal representation.
This session will equip attendees with actionable tools and insights to help children navigate technology safely while fostering healthy digital habits.
